Driving in Thailand is a very unique experience. The drivers do not stop for red lights, there are motorbikes and motorcycles going the wrong way due to the person riding them being to lazy to cross the street. Of course then there are the soi dogs running out into the street, elephants poppinng out of nowhere into a busy intersection etc.

Below are you videos of how bad and dangerous the driving is here.

Here's a video entitled Crazy Thai driving.......and isn't that the truth!

Do you fancy getting a license in Thailand? Below is how you go about it.

If you want to drive in Thailand, you will need to be on the defensive at all times as the drivers and riders there are TERRIBLE. Make sure you have an international permit so if you are involved in an accident or get stopped by the police, you will be in a better standing with the law than if you don't have the permit.

If you do get stopped for an infraction, quite often you can just pay a 300 baht fine then and there and be on your way.

When you do come to Thailand and drive, please always keep a smile on your face and eyeballs always scanning for dangers.

Requirements for foreigers to get a license in Thailand:

Proof of residency provided by thailand immigration.
