Driving in Thailand exists because the question "can I actually drive here, and should I?" deserves a better answer than a forum thread from 2016.
Thailand is one of the most rewarding countries in the world to drive and ride in. It also has one of the worst road-safety records on earth. Both of those things are true at once, and most of what is written about driving here picks one and ignores the other. This site tries to hold both: the practical detail you need to do it properly, and an honest account of the risk you are taking on.
Who is behind it
The site is published by NordicWebinvest Ltd, and the responsible editor is Terje Moy. We build and run a small family of independent travel and reference sites, each one written for a specific reader with a specific problem — in this case, someone holding a rental agreement and a helmet, wondering what they have just signed.

Every figure on this site — every fine, limit, fee and legal requirement — is traced to an official source before it is published, and the sources are listed at the foot of the page they support. Where the written rule and the roadside reality differ, we say so, and we say which is which. Where we could not confirm something, we tell you that instead of guessing.
