We read everything that comes in, and we are particularly glad to hear from people who have just done the thing we wrote about.

Corrections

If a figure, rule or procedure on this site is out of date or wrong, please tell us — ideally with something we can check: a photograph of the ticket, a receipt, a policy document, or a link to the official page. Corrections backed by evidence are made quickly and in the text itself.

What makes a correction we can act on

We are equally glad to hear that something worked exactly as described. It is harder to notice when a guide is right, and confirmation from someone who has just done the thing is worth a great deal.

Questions

We cannot give personal legal, insurance or medical advice, and we will not try. If your question is about your own case — a claim, a charge, an injury — you need a lawyer, your insurer or a doctor, not a website. What we can do is point you at the right official source, and if a question comes up often enough, it becomes an article.

Please put the page URL in the subject line if you are writing about a specific guide. It saves us both time.

Press and permissions

Same address. We are happy for short passages to be quoted with a link back. For photographs, note that most are licensed from third parties — see the photo credits for the photographer and licence of any individual image, and take permission up with them rather than with us.
