Short version: this site sets no cookies at all until you say yes, sells nothing, and has no idea who you are.
What we collect
If you accept analytics in the banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which guides people actually read. That tells us which pages to improve and which to write next. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not receive your name, your email or anything that identifies you personally, and we do not try to.
If you choose Necessary only, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics script loads and nothing is measured.
Advertising
This site currently carries no advertising and no advertising cookies.

Both local-storage entries stay in your own browser and are never sent anywhere.
Changing your mind
Use the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page to bring the banner back and choose again. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain removes everything listed above.
Things we embed
Some pages include maps or other content served by third parties. Where that happens the third party can see your IP address, as they would if you visited them directly. We choose embeds that do not require cookies wherever there is a reasonable option.
Tools on this site
The calculators and checklists run entirely in your own browser. Nothing you type into them is transmitted to us or to anyone else, and nothing is stored after you close the page.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to hand over or delete on request. Analytics data, where you have consented to it, is held by Google under their own terms; you can opt out of Google Analytics across every site using Google's own browser add-on.
